There's a Hawaiian saying, "Maui no ka oi" that translates to "Maui is the best." The Hawaiian royalty chose to live on Maui before Europeans arrived on ships. Today, Maui has been voted "Best Island in the World" over 20 times by Conde Nast Traveler Readers' Choice Awards poll. Maui has it all - amazing beaches, volcanic mountains, bamboo forests, dramatic waterfalls, and outstanding aquatic life.

 

While we will practice yoga and meditation daily, our retreat will be very active to take advantage of all there is to experience in Maui.  Summertime is great for surfing, boogie boarding and snorkeling as the waters are calmer and more manageable for the average person. When not swimming in the heavenly Pacific Ocean we have activities planned including a sunrise hike from a volcano summit into it's crater and trekking through a bamboo forest to visit the seven sacred pools for a dip and optional cliff dive. Wailea Inn is a luxury private estate located 100 steps away from South Maui’s world class beaches. Enjoy the newly remodeled 9,000 square foot villa. Relax by the heated pool, unwind in the jacuzzi and reconnect in the fully equipped indoor and outdoor yoga spaces.

The Wailea Inn offers four luxury suites, each with its own contemporary and eclectic design that combines comfort and luxury surrounded by tropical landscaping. Each suite provides conveniences such as complimentary high-speed wireless internet, Smart TV’s, washing machines and dryers, full kitchens, private garden view lanai’s and free on-site gated parking. You’ll find plenty of thoughtful touches such as the complimentary Maui grown coffee and chocolate covered macadamia nuts in each kitchen.

Wailea Inn is conveniently located across the street from Cove Beach Park and Charley Young Beach, two of the best beaches on Maui for learning how to surf and stand up paddle board, snorkeling and whale watching. Restaurants, a bustling farmer’s market, small shopping plazas, grocery stores and nightlife are all within walking distance.

Selecting Your Room at The Wailea Inn 

We have reserved the entire Wailea Inn for our retreat, In total there are only 14 guest rooms available for the trip. All rooms accommodate both single and double occupancy and all but 4 have private bathrooms. Four rooms can accommodate triple occupancy, and two of these rooms can even handle four guests in two queen beds. We have developed a pricing plan which accommodates these variables. How To Register & Book Your Room For This Retreat

This retreat is open to everyone. No one is required to participate in any of our scheduled yoga classes or other group events. This open approach makes our retreats great for your non-yogi friends, spouses, and family members, who might want to vacation with you but are concerned about the yoga component.

 

Solo travelers are welcome as well. We have single prices for all our rooms. For solo travelers looking for roommates, we create a list of single travelers and make introductions as they become available. Once folks have selected a roommate, the reservation process can proceed normally with a room selection from the available inventory.

Rooms are allocated on a first pay - first serve basis. All retreat participants must pay a deposit of $700.00 to secure a room reservation.

I'm Ready to Book My Room Now

If you are someone looking for a single room or a party of 2 to 4 people ready to commit, rooms can be reserved online with a credit card below. It will require the payment of a $1,400.00 Minimum Room Deposit (the equivalent of two $700.00 deposits). Once your room is reserved, we will reach out to you to determine your occupancy preference, the name of your roommate(s), and if any additional deposits may be required. All occupants of a room must pay their $700.00 deposit within two weeks of the initial reservation, otherwise you lose your exclusivity and the room returns to an on-sale status. Email invoices with Final Balance Payment Options will be sent out to all participants once all deposits are secured. All final balances for the retreat must be paid off by May 1st, 2018.

If you are a member of a party of 2 to 4 people ready to commit, but want to pay your deposits separately, this is your solution. You can each pay your $700.00 deposit online with a credit card below. Once your deposit is received, we will reach out to you to determine your room preferred room choices, and the name of your roommate(s). All occupants of a room must pay their $700.00 deposit before a room can be assigned base on your preference of the available inventory at that time.  Email invoices with Final Balance Payment Options will be sent out to all participants once all deposits are secured. All final balances for the retreat must be paid off by May 1st, 2018.

​If you are a solo traveler, but don't want a single room, this is the best option for you.  No deposit money is required at this time; just complete our Need A Roommate Survey below. This will place you on a Roommate Wanted list. As other people join introductions will be made based on appropriateness in part determined by your survey answers. If successful finding a compatible roommate, you can then follow either of the two room reservation processes identified above.

Terms & Conditions

Deposit Policy:

A $700.00 non-refundable deposit is required for every retreat participant. This deposit guarantees your room reservation until the Final Balance Payment Date.

 

Final Balance Payment Deadline – May 1st, 2018

All retreat package balances must be paid in full by May 1st, 2018. Retreat participants have the option of paying the balance off in one lump sum within 30 days of the deposit payment or by using our installment plan. This plan divides the balance due into equal monthly installments beginning the month following your deposit payment and ending on May 1st, 2018.  Beyond this deadline, the reservation may be cancelled, the deposit(s) forfeited, and the room may be allocated to the waitlist and/or put back on sale.

 

Cancellation Policy:

In the event you must cancel your trip, your entire payment will be refunded less the $700.00 deposit, if your cancellation is made before March 1st, 2018. Should you need to cancel after this date, for whatever reason, we will not be able to provide a refund or credit. However, we permit the transfer of your deposit or reservation to another person, assuming this transfer is acceptable to any roommates affected and that Twisters is given 30 days advanced notice to determine feasibility. No partial refunds or credits will be given for participants who arrive late or depart early on the retreat. For this reason we recommend that all retreat participants purchase travel insurance that allows for trip cancellations.

Travel Insurance: Strongly Recommended

We strongly recommend the purchase of travel insurance in the case of any unexpected events or changes to your plans before or during your trip.  Please review all policies carefully to ensure you get the coverage you want, including: trip cancellation or delay, personal property loss, medical treatment and emergency medical evacuation. The policies that offer "Cancel for Any Reason" benefits often require that you purchase this insurance within two weeks of your trip's first expense, i.e. the deposit.
