The 2018 Twisters Yoga Retreat returns to Europe where we will be staying in a 17th century chateau located between Bordeaux and Toulouse in the Dordogne Region of South-West France. This central location allows us to explore a land rich in vineyards, fortified ‘bastide’ towns, and an extraordinary range of natural and historical heritage sites. This romantic countryside features the beauty of the Dordogne River; the renowned gastronomy and wines of Bordeaux and Bergerac; a rich cultural life; and numerous leisure and sporting activities.

Chateau De Bardouly
Bardouly was built in the reign of Henry IV and is situated halfway up a limestone hill above the Dropt River. This Perigordian Chateau brims with the charm and nobility of its 400 years of existence. The house maintains its original features including a paneled dining room that was installed by the same artisan that completed the state rooms at Versailles. Michel de Montaigne’s historic estate is nearby and is the place where he wrote extensively about the area and other topics in his famous ‘Essays’. Many illustrious visitors spent time at Bardouly throughout the 20th century such as Charles de Gaulle and John D Rockefeller.

We have reserved the entire chateau, which has only 9 guest rooms available for the retreat. All rooms accommodate both single and double occupancy and have private bathrooms. Some rooms are larger and more elaborate than others. We have developed a pricing plan which accommodates these variables. How To Register & Book Your Room For This Retreat
This retreat is open to everyone. No one is required to participate in any of our scheduled yoga classes or other group events. This open approach makes our retreats great for your non-yogi friends, spouses, and family members, who might want to vacation with you but are concerned about the yoga component.
Solo travelers are welcome as well. We have single prices for all our rooms. For solo travelers looking for roommates, we create a list of single travelers and make introductions as they become available. Once folks have selected a roommate, the reservation process can proceed normally with a room selection from the available inventory.
Rooms are allocated on a first pay - first serve basis. All retreat participants must pay a deposit of $700.00 to secure a room reservation. Available

If you are a member of party of a 2 people ready to commit, but want to pay your deposits separately, this is your solution. You can each pay your $700.00 deposit online with a credit card below. Once your deposit is received we will reach out to you to determine your preferred room choices and the name of your roommate. All occupants of a room must pay their $700.00 deposit before a room can be assigned based on your preference of the available inventory at that time. Email invoices with Final Balance Payment Options will be sent out to all participants once all deposits are secured. All final balances for the retreat must be paid off by July 1st, 2018.

If you are a solo traveler, but don't want a single room, this is the best option for you. No deposit money is required at this time; just complete our Need A Roommate Survey below. This will place you on a Roommate Wanted list. As other people join introductions will be made based on appropriateness in part determined by your survey answers. If successful finding a compatible roommate, you can then follow either of the two room reservation processes identified above.

Terms & Conditions
Deposit Policy:
A $700.00 non-refundable deposit is required for every retreat participant. This deposit guarantees your room reservation until the Final Balance Payment Date.
Final Balance Payment Deadline – Aug.1st, 2018
All retreat package balances must be paid in full by Aug. 1st, 2018. Retreat participants have the option of paying the balance off in one lump sum within 30 days of the deposit payment or by using our installment plan. This plan divides the balance due into equal monthly installments beginning the month following your deposit payment and ending on Aug.1st, 2018. Beyond this deadline, the reservation may be cancelled, the deposit(s) forfeited, and the room may be allocated to the waitlist and/or put back on sale.
Cancellation Policy:
In the event you must cancel your trip, your entire payment will be refunded less the $700.00 deposit, if your cancellation is made before July 1st, 2018. Should you need to cancel after this date, for whatever reason, we will not be able to provide a refund or credit. However, we permit the transfer of your deposit or reservation to another person, assuming this transfer is acceptable to any roommates affected and that Twisters is given 30 days advanced notice to determine feasibility. No partial refunds or credits will be given for participants who arrive late or depart early on the retreat. For this reason we recommend that all retreat participants purchase travel insurance that allows for trip cancellations.
Travel Insurance: Strongly Recommended
We strongly recommend the purchase of travel insurance in the case of any unexpected events or changes to your plans before or during your trip. Please review all policies carefully to ensure you get the coverage you want, including: trip cancellation or delay, personal property loss, medical treatment and emergency medical evacuation. The policies that offer "Cancel for Any Reason" benefits often require that you purchase this insurance within two weeks of your trip's first expense, i.e. the deposit.
